Teaching Entrepreneurship

28th August 2015

Entrepreneurial life has been appealing the young and hungry minds like never before and there has been a start up craze and a revolution of a sort if you look at almost every nation churning out entrepreneurs in large numbers. Entrepreneurship is a journey and a learning experience which teaches you the life’s lessons and lends you a new perspective as you strive ahead to look for newer avenues. But a certain section of budding entrepreneurs with their bouquet of well thought-out ideas and well chalked-out plans are taking it slow as they are showing interest to enroll in entrepreneurship courses to receive a formal training before they decide to take the final plunge.     A debate over whether entrepreneurship can be taught is brewing across the globe. When it comes to entrepreneurial education, more than teaching the focus should be on learning –learning the tricks of the trade so to say. But the paradox remains that you can learn in a formal setting like a college or a university only if there is somebody to teach you. The different aspects of entrepreneurship or to put it in other words, conducting a business can always be taught and moreover, entrepreneurship as a subject is a recent phenomenon which is gaining immense popularity everywhere. Entrepreneurs are not always born; they can be made as well through proper training and acquired skills.
